Some progress!
Figured I'd make the main parts as separate objects and join them later, so here's a super basic body shape and a beak made in two parts (needs to be able to open for bird talkingness)
Any #Blender3D friends have any clue why a loop cut won't go through the top two faces?
Game industry: Temporal Super Resolution & Nanite a billion million pixel polygons 4k maps
Me: (chanting) chonky pixels, chonky pixels, CHONKY PIXELS
Which is why framing is important. So in this scene when you first enter it Tobin will see our big bird friend animating ahead which gives the scene (hopefully) an instant point of interest, but still gives you something to explore
I'm super excited about getting stuck into 3D again.
One of my dreams for Tobin's Tale is to capture that beautiful wonkiness that Curse of Monkey Island had.
Speaking of CMI...

Key thing is it's now using a Unity UI prefab instead of Adventure Creator UI
The art dream is to capture some nice CMI inspired framing
