Today 1938 The Mickey Mouse Theatre of the Air premiered on NBC radio. A coast-to-coast broadcast show it followed the adventures of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy as they used the Magic Mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to travel through time.
Today 1984 the Christmas Special overlay of the Country Bear Jamboree ran for the first time at Walt Disney World. Last running in 2006 the show featured Christmas songs, costumes, and even instruments.
Today 1945 the Sunday #Disney comic strip Uncle Remus and His Tales of Brer Rabbit debuted. It featured stories not only of Brer Rabbit, but Brer Fox, Brer Bear, and many more. It would run until the end of 1972.
