One thing that makes Umineko unique compared to most other long series I've seen is that it focuses on the same storyline from beginning to end, it just explores it from different angels, but the main topic is the same throughout, there aren't really side storylines or 'detours'.

I am half convinced that Sorachi wrote chapter 703 after reading me and @SilverSakata1's discussion on the Discord server(this was right after chapter 699 dropped btw).

Berserk is like the only series that I think is a peak in pretty much every aspect; plot, character writing, thematic writing, world building, art and visual storytelling, the only thing it lacks is a proper conclusion, but aside from that it's the most complete series to me.
