Something I realized is that when it comes to Anime specifically, the scenes that stand out the most for me and stick in my mind the longest are the ones that have powerful music in them in addition to great visuals that sync well, regardless of the actual content of the scene.

Pandora Hearts's penultimate arc absolutely blew me away with its massively recontexualizing revelations, and at the same time advancing the plot far more than any of the previous arcs did, not to mention having the biggest emotional highs as well. Crazy how much it did.
