I'm trying to stress test the plugin so it got overly convoluted in no time. The graph is too big to take a full screenshot
On paper you should have the freedom to do a lot more
(And if you can't, it should be easy to add your own nodes)
@Toshiwo_AK @Akien I'm using something like this but I'm constantly tweaking it
@hexaquo_ It's just random noise from Gimp then a wave filter,
I just realized the picture in the previous tweet doesn't show up so here it is
@StuffBySpencer @Akien In my experience, when performance goes down Gd-script is rarely the culprit. Here for example, my character is made out of 15 different components broadcasting 1 or 2 events each frame and I can easily put 100 of them at once
(I believe the pink graph is the rendering)
Early WIP of the first boss battle.
Defeating her grants you the ability to dodge so all her patterns rely on it.

My day job was really busy these past two weeks 😩
I started working on the first boss level 🔥
Half of the lighting effects are faked to improve performance while keeping the mood of the scene

@Hackmet2 I'm afraid there's not much to see since I've never wrote a shader before 😰
Basically, every vertex is moved individually over time in a pseudo "random" way, same for the UV coordinates but with a smaller amplitude this time.
There's so much more to do...
Also I always take forever to actually learn anything. It took me an awful 7 years to get there 😱

I'm working on optimizations and dealing technical debt I accumulated so I don't have much to show. Here's some hairstyles I'm using to test random character generation

How to gamedev when you're not an artist:
Step 1 : Make some bad 3D in Blender
Step 2 : Put it far away from the camera. No even farther, where no one can see it
