Been playing around with the #avengers #marvelwarmup I did. Wanted to do a more powered down color take on Monica cause I love her design/color scheme. Had fun!

If you don’t know some of these character who haven’t been in movies, this is Wasp (chairperson), Captain America, Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau), Submariner, Hercules, and the Black Knight! Last few close ups:

I lifted all the flat, local colors here from the great Christie Scheele. Didn’t want to belabor Captain Marvel’s light on the other characters too much and have it overpower their own color schemes. But I gave it a touch.

My favorite single issue of Avengers is #262, where Hercules picks a fight with Submariner to cheer him up. And Cap makes a touching revelation to Namor for a great ending.

Between issues of #snipeandslug I did another #marvelwarmup! My favorite Avengers era (if not my favorite line up, though I do love all of them) was this one by Roger Stern, John Buscema, and Tom Palmer. It’s all so beautiful, you should read it.

I have a bunch of inks to get through for this oversized issue of #snipeandslug to make it just perfect. So I haven’t had time to do much in the way of Marvel warm ups. But here’s a tease of one I’ve been pecking away at!

THREAD: I always feel weird posting when someone passes away. I feel like anything I have to say would be trite. Usually it's a celebrity, and who cares what my take is on their life, anyway. But Robson Rocha was my friend. It would seem unjust to let him leave us quietly.

More Glynis Oliver colors pulled for this. I never understood what that crosshatching on his face was (shadow? Pantyhose?), but I grew to love this look. Still, nothing beats his brown and orange costume.
