Greetings! I'm Ilari, a traditional wildlife artist. I specialize in extinct wildlife and character design.

Watercolour illustration of a Broad-billed parrot, the largest endemic parrot of the Mascarene Islands. It was described by contemporaries as a beautiful bird, red with a blue head and recurved beak.
The species was likely at home in lowland forest and ate mostly palm seeds.

My part of an art trade with @idrawsdinosaurs, who requested Onychodus, a predatory lobe-fin fish from Australia's Gogo formation.
I did two versions, one is a more naturalistic rendition, the other is a stylized character design.

To celebrate all the work @DukeLemurCenter does for lemur conservation as well as work on fossil primates, here's some drawings of Madagascar's subfossil lemurs.
Here is a baby Megaladapis grandidieri, a species of koala lemur.

Andalgalornis male is displaying for some females, and with the use of neck plumes, bill clattering and long strides, he just might succeed.
