I am simply GLOWING right now.
It only took 15 attempts, but I finally caught Little Miss Trouble - my last GPS tagged #woodcock in the mist nets.
Most other birds have migrated so I am amazed and very lucky she has stayed on so long.
And I got a bonus other too!
So - remember I had three tagged #woodcock which all roosted in the same place by day, and I wondered whether they also fed in the same places by night?
Wonder no more! GPS data over 10wks shows that they definitely do not feed together by night - there wasn't even any overlap!
Driving to down to Cork this evening and I couldn't resist stopping by for an hour at a great site where I have caught many #woodcock before. Annoyingly missed a bird with a ring on it, but caught two new ones! #birdringing
