Well you in luck! The manga adaptation have also gotten in translated & officially released! At least in ENG & french. While they still omit details from LN for pacing reasons they do adapt more of them than the anime

Small preferences & whatnot this is not serious and ideally even as a WN reader, you want read the LN because he's expanded on various lore & narrative elements in the main story & SS that aren't present in that anyway such as the Ex stuff

1) Coming from the anime:

First you can totally continue from where the anime left off. Both S1 & S2 cover what happens in the first 15 volumes of light novel (LN), which correspond to Arcs 1-4 in web novel (WN) pretty well. There well be some new info here & there

This line implies Hector is not human, at least not fully. In his LN art he seems to have a tail. So Devil of Melancholy maybe the most accurate title for him afterall. The Witches of Sin do already include a non-human in their group: Satella, so this poses no issue at all
