@Dinoguy16 They had a Spider-Raptor character in that Hulk cartoon, Agents Of S.M.A.S.H., so it is odd why they didn’t use him instead. Probably would’ve worked better too.
Though IMO, Spidey as a T.Rex is the kind of sheer goofiness that can work just as well.
Somewhere in a forest in Late Maastrichtian China, a lone female Qianzhousaurus makes her first kill in almost a week...
I said I would be making more #PrehistoricPlanet fan art, and I'm gonna make good on that. Figured I'd start with one of my favorite dinosaurs from the show.
All of Raul Martin’s concept art for Jurassic World Dominion is fantastic, but for me, his Giganotosaurus and feathered T.Rex go the hardest. They actually fit better with the JP aesthetic while still being mostly anatomically correct.
Universal fucking robbed us, man.
Sorry I haven’t posted any new art in a while. Admittedly been kinda shit keeping my schedule together.
Anyway, here’s an old color drawing I dug up of a stylized T.Rex inspired by the Devil Rex leader from Primal.
Admittedly, the design itself is pretty cute and probably the best looking of the new feathered dinosaurs we got, besides the Therizinosaurus.
The main issue is that it's an undersized version of an animal that we know of only from a few fossil scraps. https://t.co/SCmxJT2cl8
@ZaragozRex That would be a dream come true. It’d be the most terrifyingly metal thing ever and WE NEED IT TO HAPPEN.
Surprising how ahead of its time this movie’s portrayal of Pachycephalosaurus is.
Given they probably weren’t exclusively herbivores, I can see them having occasionally going after live prey like this. Would love to see more films and shows do something similar.
@Iamtiredmoo Hell, we actually almost got human-dinosaur hybrids for the fourth movie. It was one of the ideas for a Jurassic Park IV that never got made. You can actually find the script for it online.
Here are some of the concepts for the hybrids. They’re fucking crazy.
This iconic fight scene was animated by Wolfgang “Woolie” Reitherman, one of the Nine Old Men. He was also responsible for the chase scene with Monstro the Whale in Pinocchio (1940) and the battle between Prince Phillip and Maleficent as the dragon in Sleeping Beauty (1959).
The highlight of these scenes has to be the epic battle between the Stegosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus rex.
While the two species never really coexisted, this scene is still staggering in its sheer brutality and how it captures the size and weight of these creatures.
