And the animators succeed in making them feel totally believable. While the designs of the dinosaurs are no longer accurate, their movements and behaviors still make them feel like real animals. And the low camera angles give them a sense of truly massive, towering form.

In particular, the scene showing the evolution of vertebrates is especially well done. The screen transitions smoothly and succinctly illustrate the major evolutionary steps from jawless fish to the ancestors of tetrapods. It’s a great example of animation’s endless potential.

And finally, here are some animals that I’m adding in as secondary/background characters. They’ll mainly show up just prior to the fight, running away from Rexy as she comes onto the scene. (3/3)

Secondly, I’ll be featuring Anzu, but not as an Oviraptor substitute. Rather, I’ll have a scene of a whole congregation of them nesting, with the Pectinodon acting as the real egg thief. (2/3)

Got two more designs finished for my take on the JWD Prologue. This time it's Pectinodon and Acheroraptor.

I will be featuring Anzu, but I decided to use Pectinodon as the nest raider because I want to deviate from the semi-dated "egg-eating oviraptorosaur" trope.

I’ve absolutely fallen in love with Kurzgesagt’s 2022 “Eons” calendar. It’s one of my favorite Christmas presents from this year. Love the theme, love the illustrations and I love the selection of lesser known extinct species used. Gonna have a blast using this.

Here's my Prehistoric Rexy. I based the color scheme off Steve Kirk's rexes (namely the one that inspired the one in Trespasser.) Also, her overall look I based more directly off of AMNH 5027.
