I think I posted the Photoshop version of this a while ago, but I can't find the tweet.
I really like the "digital impressionism" that can be achieved through a bit of computer programming

Hi! I'm JWC, indie comics creator and failed diet enthusiast. Right now I don't have a lot of comics-making time, so I'm focused on outlining and writing.

Hi, I'm JWC, indie comics creator and cat owner. Doing my own off-the-trail inktober, and sketching some increasingly vibrant color palettes (I call this one punch-you-in-the-face-burnt-umber)
@ComicBookYeti The attention fairy, obviously.

@ryanburkewriter Congratulations!

It depends if I'm working with inked work or not.
If the work is inked, I tend to fill in areas with the lightest color and then add shadows (image left)
If the work isn't inked, I tend to start with the darker colors and then add highlights (image right)
