First week back from Seattle, and I'm still kind of adjusting. This is a new environmental piece for my Mausolea project, which came about after I was just playing around in photoshop for a few hours and ended up with something kind of cool. "Gate of Fortune".
New art from Magic:the Gathering Core 19 previewed today, and it is one that I really enjoyed working on. It was surprisingly challenging to create this piece, but one I fought through and am very happy with the result.

an original playmat design that I was asked to create for Alan Hochman at Pastimes comics & games. Done for the Ixalan release season. It was one of the most epic commissions that I have done in a long time. All five lands, all of them playmats that linked together!
And the second of my two dominaria pieces, this is: the Thallid Oracle, as contemplative a mushroom man as you will ever meet, he coldly reads the entrails of small woodland animals to tell the future, and he does it without ANY EYES AT ALL.
From the new MTG set Dominaria, comes my new work: the Keldon Overseer is a powerful and authoritative figure, intimidating and strict, and not a very nice guy. Cheats at checkers, cuts in line at the airport, that sort of thing. Kind of a dick really.
Sentinel of Fate. Love that name. Done for digital cardgame Eternal Essence, this is the archtypical forest guardian, an immortal and mythical creature.
