Whitebeard said that you can kill them, but their 'will' will NEVER die. It has been "passed down through the generations" (strawhat has also been passed down). The strawhat has a physical ability. What if Shanks cried at Roger bc he felt responsible by taking his hat? 🤔

Luffy might genuinely be protected by a divine power. For some reason the Strawhat is always depicted when this is brought up. What if the bearer of the strawhat LITERALLY cannot die until its passed on? What if Roger contracted his illness as soon as he gave it to Shanks 😳
