In just 1 cutscene, Goronu has some of the best faces in the CD-i games

Of all the human characters from the Zelda CD-i games, Mayor Cravendish is the only one who weirdly doesn't have those pointy elf ears. You can see that here in the 3 total frames where they're actually visible.

Just as a little bonus, here's what the final BG looks like in the original trailer, what I traced, and how that looks when scaled to CD-i dimensions (I always do these CD-i images 3X the size that they should be with a 3 pixel brush then shrink 'em down)

This one took some time

A couple of these have a front layer of mushrooms to add depth to the camera movement, as you can see in this final image vs the previous image where I didn't add in the other mushroom layers.
I obviously didn't put any detail in the parts that'd be totally covered.

These are the Mario Movie backgrounds that I made for the Hotel Mario segment in my newest YTP
I traced over screenshots from the trailer and colored them with the HM color palette
Some of them were made to be cropped & moved around, so parts around the edges aren't detailed
