I've been having fun with #fakemon designs again after holding off on them for a long while. I used to do these a TON as a kid, but I stopped doing new ones when I started freelancing. I think working within the strictly defined #pokemon structures helps creativity though.

Happy #monday! I had a relaxing weekend after a rough friday and I think I'm done with all the stressful tasks for now. As such, today's #illustration is a bit(e) of a joke 😄 If I ever tried making a fakemon dex again, these would be in there, living in groups of 32.

"Focus on the what is instead of the what if" is a new catchy mantra I learned that's going to help me going forward. One thing my mind is really good at, is creatively thinking up the worst possible outcomes to anything 😂

Paperwork and money talk make me anxious, truth be told. But they are a necessary evil of freelancing (and any line of work. Luckily, drawing fluffy #monday #monsters like this one calms me down 😅

I woke up this morning and had some clown thoughts apparently. This #monster #monday is a strange one. I incorporated some of the Sugimori stuff I learned last week into my work flow too.

After recently trying out one of the Sugimori style tutorials, I simultaneously fell back into creating #fakemon designs. You could say I've been doing nothing but with my monster mondays, but doing fakemons specifically feels different because I try to adhere to pokemon design.

You know what I never did, even though I grew up inventing tons of fake #pokemon? I never tried my hands at one of the many Sugimori style tutorials out there.

I did it now. It's pretty fun. The one I used also uses textures in addition to everything else. Pretty interesting!

Since inktober is creeping closer, I had black tones on my mind. I can't help but think of Okami's and The World Ends With You's character designs. They pull that off so well.

I've been playing Metal Walker and LBX recently, so I've got robots on my brain. I don't draw robots or anything technical all that much, but these were fun. One of my coolest freelance works ALSO was robot-based: Project Solarbot by @InfernoGames24
