Todays images are inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson who was born on this day in 1850. Stevenson & his family had strong connections with #NorthBerwick, spending many holidays in the town. Fidra Island is said to be the inspiration for RLS's most famous work, Treasure Island.

#ArchiveAdventCalendar theme is Coal. In 1598 Haddington was destroyed by fire. To stop this happening again, the Town Crier proclaimed the poem 'Coal and Candle' through the streets every night for the next 250 yrs to remind people to put out their flames.
