I’m a huge Final Fantasy fan, but can someone please explain to me why early-game linearity and outlandish lore worked for FFX with its mass hallucination athletes and world-ending whale yet somehow don’t for FFXIII with its religious dystopia and indisputably badass female lead?
Of all the beat ‘em ups I played this month, these are the best!
D&D: Shadow Over Mystara
Night Slashers
Sengoku 3
Fight’N Rage
Battle Circuit
Golden Axe: TRoDA
Final Fight
Streets of Rage 2
Captain Commando
Burning Fight
ZERO TEAM
Light Bringer
The King of Dragons
Arabian Fight

#MaglamLord by @D3_PUBLISHER + @FELISTELLA_JP has gotta be among my most anticipated games for #NintendoSwitch right now. With a slick visual style, hack ‘n slash combat, crafting, dating sim mechanics (including marriage) and solid JRPG roots, this is gonna be hot.🔥#SwitchCorps

They were in both of the previous games, but they were mostly optional as you could gain their effects even if you skipped the interaction.
