@annieartshop @Garderene1 @eastasiasoft Basically in Chronicle you had 10 named monster girls and 40 unnamed “generic” recruits. In Crystal, all 50 of those are still included, but the 10 named characters are replaced by unnamed girls of the same monster type, while Crystal’s named story characters are entirely new.

Controversial game opinion:

#TrialsOfMana is a better remake than #FinalFantasyVIIRemake.

There’s a caveat emphasizing the word “remake”, though. ToM is a complete and direct update. FFVIIR reimagines 1 part of a larger whole.

Not to say ToM is a better game (but it might be).
