These tiny, fragile daffodils appeared through the water as floods receded. They've been drowned & rolled on by huge logs but are still upstanding. A small miracle of survival. Learnt a lot about resilience from them over past few days!

Whilst we are flooded out at Gwydir - here is a photo of the traditional floodplain just north of us - completely dry. if you won't help protect one of Wales's most important historic sites then please let the floodplain flood & let nature do its work. This is insane

The great bard, Huw Machno, once sang in Gwydir's ancient halls. He wrote many about Gwydir & the family. Around 1600, the gardener here was said to have depicted him on horseback in Over 150 of his poems still survive in form.
