Broken apart duplicate parts helps to identify which parts are needed to build the kit, rotated or re-used parts deleted for now so each segment can be made and then re-assembled with smaller supporting detail parts.

Finished the low-poly shell for power suit as well as zero-suit's handgun. Samus' blaster arm is detached to more easily work with symmetry. Now that everything is built and UV'd I can finally start dropping materials onto everything.

This part is less sexy than the full power suit, but a useful tip for anyone doing retopo, don't kill yourself hand-placing quads on big complicated soft forms when you can extrude the general shape from a cylinder first and smooth it on with quad draw.

finished the clean high-poly tonight, I merge subtools together that I plan to combine in the low-poly mesh and keep poly groups that will be useful in painter when I bake and add materials.

I use a custom little 3-part curve brush for stylized hair. If I want it to look more broken up I grab some edge loops with move auto radius in z-modeler brush.
