5.) animating the extra costumes is like hell, sometimes they look cluttered enough, or moves weirdly, or you accidentally replaced an entire layer
4.) this ain't finished yet but yea, afterwards you start to fill the details on the basic shape. It's painful when the OG design got a lot of details that's hard to translate to mini pixels (my fault)
(that's why kaneko would make the pixel first then draw their full art later)
3.) After making the base animation. I started to draw the basic shapes (the black leotard, stocking and gloves she wears) for every animation frames
2.) I would then make their sprite "move" by making them bounce (like the 2nd pic, check the onion skin effect. That's the previous layer)
then add more to the base like arms and leg
Process :
1.) I had my own base sheets (nekkid human sprites), and then "edited" their pose that isn't their limbs (because the limbs are going to move... unless they don't have one, they're separated for easier editing)
non-humanoid character have their special bases
ever accidentally fused a high ranking demon (beelzebub/alilat/shiva/whatever) into a super low ranking demon?
