also at 1999, they made an adaptation of an FPS game, which in their website they said behind the scenes, it was a mess (staff dispute etc etc from the western side)
I think their works appealed more to westerners than JP, sadly enough
all these animu have (almost) the same staff lineup thanks to being made by the same studio. Super blursed
for a studio that made high profile animoo like this, it's odd that not much talks about phoenix entertainment and its owner (who was always mentioned on the opening scene of GR OVA)
