A gift for my dear friend @GreenTeaDeer ! Drawn by the amazingly talented @aquaticcrybaby !
@0rphiical May I enter my OC? His name is Mack & he’s a creepy goth weirdo.
Some fat folks can have a few of these traits but animation takes it to the extreme. There are a few characters who break the stereotypes by being awesome though! These are characters made with love!
You can always tell when an artist has contempt for fat people based on how they draw fat women. Note: this is only slightly better than not drawing any fat folks at all.
… wait a second… *squints at this show*… did they whitewash the female protagonist & de-transition a trans woman? It’s TOO EARLY TO KNOW FOR SURE…. But uhm… Doomland? I’m watching you. Red text is the preliminary designs- black text is current:
Yes I’m blaming the networks & not the artists because THEY are the ones who call the shots. Teenage Euthanasia & Steven Universe are both shows that SUFFERED artistically because of executive meddling.
I really want a Tattoo of the Cat of Approximate Knowledge. But I’m not sure if I wanna go with Adventure Times art style… I found some cute fan arts of him, but I’m not sure what I want on me. I just know I must have him.
Smidge also has a deep voice to flip the script on the fact that she is the smallest troll in her village.
FYI There is nothing inherently wrong with a female character having a deep voice! Dr. Mrs. The Monach is a great example! While unfortunately she is frequently the butt of transphobic jokes her deep voice has been attributed to her smoking 3 packs of cigarettes a day.
