A bit more work on my Medusa this morning. This afternoon it’s back to my book commission, but I feel nicely warmed up now #illustrationartist

There is something incredibly special about seeing people starting to work with their imagination in these mixed media books, no photo references, no having to make something perfect. Just the stories. This group absolutely make my Friday sing, every one of them.

Last class of my first 5 week block this morning, teaching this group is an absolute joy, they have responded to my suggestions of ways of moving away from working purely figuratively with enthusiasm and joyful experimentation. I’m so happy! Back to it in March 🥰 #artismydrug

After three weeks working primarily in black and white we went into colour this morning! Exploring using gesso and masking tape as a resist for brusho.
