Galaxy Express 999 has the greatest clashing character designs because the main male character looks like a potato and the female main character is a tall ethereal goddess.
You wouldn't think these two characters are from the same series.
Thinking about Steven Universe's fairly obscure references to Leiji Matsumoto. (Well, most people have seen Matsumoto sensei's art style because of his collab with Daft Punk in the 90's, but his manga/anime series are from the 70's, hence the older audience can spot it.)
@ritualdumpster Its funny you say that because his next comic is literally about a band. I don't know much of the plot, just the various doodles that he's sharing on his social media. Its called "Worst World". It was announced back in 2016 and he said he might work on it after Snot Girl so...
The art I ordered from Shaun Beyale came in today! 😭 Now I have a framed Lady D drawing to hang in my room to look at 👀 the extra piece is great too. More of his art can be seen at: https://t.co/w0YszAlNaj

@jfkeeler pray tell, how are we supposed to view these two as competent professionals to handle other people's personal and confidential information? You are allowing people with a huge bias and racist history to play authority.
Also you clearly didn't watch the other films directed by Isao Takahata and other members of the studio that ALL have different styles. So either actually watch all of Studio Ghibli's filmography or make a better arguement.
These movies you're showing were all done with traditional 2D animation and "same face" with the intention to spend more time on other elements. You also picked the 3 early heroines most similar to each other in design intentionally. Some examples from later Studio Ghibli movies: https://t.co/ndsXZ0Yvhg
