Finally played through Blaster Master Zero 2. It's a weird game. It's very different from the first title, and ultimately feels like a grab bag of half finished ideas. But the final chapter pulled some really cool DT shit that I loved.

I should play 3 before eons pass again...

This Yumi facial expression straight out of the year 2000 gave me a good punch of nostalgia.

PriConne s2 ep6:
This ep was similar to a lot of s1, in the way it featured a million guest characters from the game and was very hard to follow if you don't have game knowledge.

On the other hand, it did have some very good Karyl faces near the end.

MariMite ep5 impressed upon me the yuri power of 傷跡...

I can't get enough of the sumptuous gossip energy of this show, or of the endless array of Yumi's nostalgia inducing turn of the century anime faces.

Also Yumi is a bastion of turn of the century anime faces like this. Kind of fun to see so many years later.

Read Koukaku no Pandora v22. This story arc and boss battle have been *painfully* drawn out. but at least the climax really, truly goes for it with Nene x Clarion. I'm happily surprised by the series going this far.

Maybe v23 will finally move into some new story threads...

Wow, I wasn't expecting Xellos to show up in Aeterna Noctis.

I noticed this instantly despite watching Slayers 20 years ago. It was one of my first anime series not aired on US TV, so it'll always be stuck somewhere in a corner of my brain.

reminds me of when subahibi referenced the ending of the giving tree

Finally got the chance to finish Inoue Tomonori's Candy and Cigarettes manga.

The manga's first act is some of the best manga I've read. Extremely tight storytelling filled with Inoue's delicate human touch and lots of fun pulpy grit, culminating in a gripping, perfect climax.

My Sutopani rewatch with has finally, mercifully come to an end.

Back in 2006, I somehow thought that poor Tamao had a chance. At the very least enough of a chance that this classic comic once resonated with me. But now it falls flat.
