AKA Sweet William, haha, and the Spotted Gully Shark, this inshore species can grow up to 5.58ft long. They occur in at least one marine reserve but there are no specific conversation actions in place. #sharkweek2019

A type of hammerhead shark, the bonnethead has a smaller shovel-shaped head. The females are larger than the males. Interestingly, part of their diet includes seagrasses. They are targeted for their meat. #Sharkweek2019

Salmon sharks are endothermic, which allows them to maintain a body temperature above the temperature of the water.

They are known for their yellow-ish color. Interestingly, they are hosts to many parasites
Threats include being caught commercially on longlines. They are eaten in the United States, and Central and South America. #sharkweek2019
