Fab mostly wordless #PB for discussion with young kids about #EarthDay Moles move beneath a lush green meadow & completely transform it into something hideous, with a simple splotch of grass left behind. Hope is seen in the book's final endpaper. #TorbenKuhlmann @NorthSouthBooks
Just finished reading Kendra Kandlestar and the Search for Arazeen by @leefodi and loved it as well as the whole series! Great characters & story focusing on how Kendra goes in search of her family while also seeking to save her land from multitudes of monsters. @simplyreadbooks
Loved this! When Dr. Zaius discovers a dead Kong in the Forbidden Zone, he enlists Cornelius' & Zira's help. Soon they & others sail to Skull Island where live strange creatures & humans & another Kong. A great mash-up by @ryanwriter @CarlosMagno1312 @alex_guim @boomstudios
Ma's taken-Hensel & Gretel take ninjutsu lessons. Pa's taken-they go after the fox! Things look bad when they're captured & about to be chicken-pot-pied. But Gretel jimmies the lock & the great showdown begins. Great fun book!! @CoreyPBNinja @GomezWrites @penguinkids @dsantat
At the @VanChilLit Illustrators Breakfast this morning, the wonderful @leefodi shared this giant dragon's egg that he'd created. Love the details and everything about it! I also picked up book 5 of the Kendra Kandlestar series. @simplyreadbooks
This is one of my favourite books to read at this time--funny and the beat/rhythm based on the iconic 'I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly' song is spot-on perfect. My K students love it too! Author-Alison Jackson Illustrator-Judith Byron Schachner @randomhousekids
A young girl has a staring contest with the reader. Soon, her animal friends want to join in and no one is blinking...but their eyes are getting tired...By the time tortoise asks what's happening, it's time for another contest. Fab story & illios! @TallTomsTales @FeiwelFriends
Just picked up this beautiful book by @KathrynOtoshi . It's a gorgeous wordless book "about friendship, boundaries, and healing after conflict." A powerful book! Published by Roaring Brook Press @MacKidsBooks
This wonderful book pays great homage to the original Frankenstein movie. Grouch, Grump & 2-headed Gloom'n'Doom can't agree who's the biggest, baddest monster...so they create one instead. As soon as it says "Dank you," their plan goes off the rails. @MUTTScomics @LittleBrownYR
Love, love, love this graphic novel/picture book for young readers by #BrianSelznick & David Serlin with great illustration by #BrianSelznick. Very funny! And I also loved how the decor in Baby Monkey's office changed to reflect the case he is about to work on. @Scholastic
