The Skulduggery Pleasant MG novels are one of my absolute favourite series! Just finished reading the 10th book about the skeleton detective & Valkyrie Cain. Great characters, dialogue, humour, action, magic and more! @DerekLandy @HarperCollinsCh

@MollyIdle I shared "Flora and the Flamingo" with my K students today. They absolutely loved the book! It quickly became a favourite for them! And it already is one of my favourites. Beautiful wordless story, amazing illustrations! @ChronicleKids

Three of the great books by #RichardPeck that I've read. So sad to hear that #kidlit writer and advocate of children's books has been lost to us.

I reviewed this Cinderella retelling by @kevinarts when it 1st came out & enjoyed it a lot! Cindy's dream is to play hockey but the Blister Sisters block her. Cindy's Fairy Goaltender appears & provides white leather skates & a Zamboni! Great humour! @TundraBooks @kidsbookcentre

I love @lucyruth 's book about a hungry lion & a curious dwindling assortment of animals. A fun read-aloud w/ amazing illustrations. As animals start disappearing, no one is sure what is happening. Readers may be surprised as to who is the Last Animal Standing. @SimonSchusterCA

@rpWeston 's wonderful story is written as a series of tanka poems. The poetry is beautiful, the relationships between characters touching & poignant; & the illos by @MisaSaburi are just lovely. See my review of this great book in the new CCBN mag. @TundraBooks @kidsbookcentre

I love the Winnie-the-Pooh books and I love the characters created by A. A. Milne. I love all the characters but I have an especial fondness for Eeyore. Today is the anniversary of A. A. Milne's birthday; he was born in 1882. Happy #WinniethePoohDay !
