Another piece from 2018 that’s going to be collected in my upcoming art book. Typically when I make these I use the eyes as a focal point since I feel like that adds intensity to the composition. I use heavy detail in that area and keep the rest of the piece loose.

I couldn’t sleep, so I started drawing. I’ve been inspired lately by people who do amazing things, and try to be the best at what they do even if they don’t think they are good at it. So I’ve been drawing more. I like the emoji speech bubbles, it might stay with this character.
I’m having a good time in the sketchbook lately, which is good because I hate the way I draw. My back is feeling much better, I hope this means my hard work is paying off. I need a day of rest and I’ll be able to get back to my other secret projects.
