I thought I’d show some of my works-in-progress.

Day 4 is “bright.”

Initially from the #scbwiArtober prompt “broom” and wanting to play around with effect I got with “full moon,” I thought of night owls 🦉…up and starting their day at moonrise.

Prompts are a great was to pump up your creativity or explore a style. And I’m using them this fall as a way to shake up my drawing practice.

And it’s been the most fun I’ve had creating…well for a long time. Definitely since the beginning of the pandemic.

Is it done?

I’m not sure.

BUT generally you shouldn’t show ppl smoking in #kidlitart, so I played around with pipes that blew bubbles, but ultimately ditched that idea and gave my sailor some noisy crow friends.
