I'm khiori and I quell in watercolor, ink, and acrylics. I love painting animals and nature as well as some surreal self portraits here and there.

@AmalasRosa I do draw a lot of cute fuzzy animals, but I have a deeper emotional connection to my darker pieces. I call them surreal self portraits and they're my favorite kind of therapy! 😁

Today I wanted to try something a little more complicated with my soft #pastels! Before this I'd only used pastels for some gradual color gradients and a #drawing of fruit so this piece was really challenging. I think the result was beautiful in a soft way.

The last of my sketches from Key West! I quite like how the #seagull turned out, but man that osprey is a little rough! I suppose that I got a lot of good looks at seagulls while I was there but only the briefest glimpse of the #osprey.

Last week I went on a vacation to #keywest! Being away from my computer and most of my art tools was a great opportunity to #sketch more loosely. This #pelican is probably my favorite, but I've still got two more key west #bird sketches for later this week!
