Super wild guess here but they could be an early Nahua group. Possibly the Mexica before they settled in Lake Texcoco

I'm still scratching my brain here. Their dress and pottery feel Maya but certain elements and the unique swirl pattern suggest something else. The only thing I have to go off of is the bird (black-headed trogon) found mostly in Maya territories

I screamed CAMAZOTZ ! The Maya bat god of night and death! But given the originality of the other gate guardians, it's probably an original creature to the show and not the bat god himself. But take a moment to appreciate the design, it SLAYS!
