@TennyUnderscore Of course when things get wild, animators like Pete Burness and Irv Spence just forgo that sort of heft nonsense in order to get characters roughed up (top two by Burness, bottom two by Spence)

Well-preserved production cels tend to show that Tom was painted gray in the coloring room, but with color photography of the era you couldn't really tell how camera negatives altered it.

Drew this in May for a friend in private. Didn't go so well as planned - they shared it around - so I might as well do this too.
The ignorance of line thickness is almost sickening to those connoisseurs but what could I do?
