Ohio Bog (2009) - A watercolor work done out of nostalgia for a bog I used to wander around and play in as a kid. Memory can be like a series of fragments, never fitting together as much as the original sensation, but somehow more alive because of it.
I was playing around with applying an AO map to a per-polygon displacement on a dense model. Polygons were "exploded" outward based on how close they are to a cavity in the base mesh. (Its colors were vertex painted in 3D Coat, then rendered in Max/V-ray.)
"Izzet Guildgate (Secret Entrance)" - MTG Illustration completed for the "Guilds of Ravnica" set. This was the sister card to the Main Entrance version posted yesterday.
"Ignore those strange lights down in the sewers, nothing to see there..."

I have really enjoyed seeing what everyone else has created for this monthlong-daily-hashtag-art-post-a-rama. :)
Day 29 of #MaySketchADay. Played around with collaging some tiny ballpoint pen/marker doodles with minimal overlap, so that each separate design could still present well.
