Finished up this neato bird commission of Stephano! The trippy background is my personal favorite part; he wanted the overall vibe and pose to be Bowie inspired. What do you all think? Did I hit the mark?

*NOT A SPOILER... yet?* Recently I decided to FINALLY read Lore Olympus and... let's just say I read the entire series in about a day and a half. It is *fantastic.* A very different, interesting take on the Greek myth... Warning: it contains trauma, sexual violence, and assault.

Young me thought looking at reference for art was cheating (unless you were figure drawing). It still feels a little wrong but I can see huge improvements now that I've started to use reference and I hope that I can continue to grow even faster by studying the world around me. :)

Remember how I mentioned more realistic drawings in my previous post? Well, here is an example of such! Sometimes, even if more realistic pieces, I really enjoy thicker line work, an almost sloppier painting style. Sometimes, you just gotta have some fun with it! #LittleMermaid

For the past few months I have been working with @TumultuousGame on their latest game, Yami! As one of their concept artists, I have been able to help in creating some really rad stuff. Here is one I'm able to share, some massive mushrooms for the Kinfallen Forest level. #gameart

I've been meaning to practice a quicker, more painterly style, as well as play around more with palettes. So, after being inspired by some of @TrentKaniuga pieces, I got to work doodling out this spooky guy. The palette I used was a five tone one titled "Subtle Melancholy."
