The Kohaku route is flawed but I still think its really good. If you know the history behind it too it really shouldn't exist but the people who beta tested Tsukihime loved Kohaku so much Nasu felt compelled to write a route for her the week before Tsuki was finalized

I would say living a life for the sake of others vs pursuing your own happiness is an ultimatum in FSN. Shirou rejects the ultimatum in UBW but was able to face what he told to be his "fate" in Archer, a road that leads to misery. The point is to walk down a path you won't regret
