thankfully cartoony styles are much more forgiving with "accurate" anatomy, but the point still stands even with more "realistic" styles. mistakes i used to make usually come from overfocusing too early.

pro art tip: shape is king, especially with anime faces and hair. sketching the form (in perspective) comes first, detail later 🎨🖌️

your wrist and fingers always have a "direction" they point in, so it's more often better to get that clear communication rather than trying to be perfect
