As 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' turns another year old and ages like fine wine, I keep wanting to say: I love the early Walt films, and one of the big reasons for that is their effective use of frights. The wood scene alone is a masterpiece, it's an animated anxiety attack.
Another Disney anniversary, this time for what I thought was a really solid sequel to a cult favorite, a visually dazzling sci-fi father-son adventure about the dangers of chasing perfection in the digital age. With a KICK-ASS soundtrack. Happy 10th Anniversary to 'TRON: Legacy'!

In my book, it's a gem of the Disney Renaissance. A very fun (and visually game-changing) action-adventure, and a more than fine sequel... Happy 30th Anniversary to 'The Rescuers Down Under', and the super-solid 'The Prince and the Pauper' - its accompanying featurette - as well!
