this is an awkward joke and I'm not sure they understand how Songbird's powers work, but whatever Songbird's in a comic i like it

I really like that they took the time to show how finding out their fellow superheroes are hurt or dead weighs on them emotionally in a very real way. It's not all declarations of vengeance.

"I fart mystical powers" is not a line that Danny would utter in any other comic but I lol'd

Okay, so I only tracked down this Deadly Hands of Kung Fu stuff because of this editorial note in the most recent Daughters of the Dragon series...
(which is why editorial notes are a GREAT IDEA in an era of fast digital back issue access ffs)

This reminds me that Marvel once announced a series about Blade's teenage daughter.
There really should be a teen-girl protege team at this point. Pei and Kate Bishop and Nadia Van Dyne and Laura Kinney and so many other greats.

I'm pretty sure Danny can swim, but this is still so fun that I don't care.

There's a short Kitty Pryde story in one of the Axis tie-ins and it's terrific. It feels a lot like a pre-cursor to her character in Marauders.

This Renaud cover is my fave from Uncanny Avengers vol 1, but it has 3 of my fave characters on it and they all look great, so that shouldn't be a surprise.

In the backmatter, Andrews says he had the ending planned from the beginning, but by the time he got there he didn't like it anymore.
I can only assume the resurrection of Shou-Lao and happier ending tacked on after Danny's fight-to-near-death with his girlfriend is the revision.
