Almost Always Best, Best Friends by @AprylStott is about growing up & coming to understand that we don’t lose the strength of a friendship when we make room for someone new.
We loved Apryl Stott’s Share Some Kindness, Bring Some Light and now we love BOTH of her picture books!
We got our copies of This Book is Not for You! by @haleshannon & @subisnacks today, & this so perfectly aligns with our hearts and views on the "is this a girl or boy book?" ideology, aka absolute nonsense! What a brilliant picture book that we will share endlessly! #booksforall https://t.co/iS3cjKdVoA
This marvelous black & white picture book by @macbarnett & @MarlaFrazee had us gasping, smiling, and cheering. The Great Zapfino is a five-star #kidlit masterpiece and those elevator scenes are like funny & breathtaking at the same time. We LOVE this picture book! 🎪
"You may fall down.
You may be scared.
You may see shadows everywhere,
But you are brave and you are strong;
You'll make it home before too long."
Everything Will Be OK by Anna Dewdney (@AnnaDewdney) & Judy Schachner
Fill your heart with this #SEL story of hope. 💫
@readiatrician @KathieMacIsaac And we totally missed this… SORRY! Just finished Drew Leclair Gets a Clue by @katrynwrites and it’s got the perfect amount of “crush talk” - we just loved it. :-)
Mushroom Rain by Laura K. Zimmermann (@LauraK_PBwriter) & illustrated by Jamie Green (@Jamiemgreenart) is a delightful #kidlit picture book full of facts we never knew about this fungi! Awesome back matter included, too! 🍄
As big sisters ourselves, we adore Claire Keane’s Little Big Girl & have therefore eagerly awaited the release of Little Wonder. @claireonacloud’s new picture book is sweet but stunning and will be the perfect gift for life’s biggest events with the littles in your life! 🐚🌊📘
Last week @donalynbooks reminded us of the importance of teamwork and generosity when she gave a shoutout to @KateMessner for sharing her amazing resources. After presenting our latest faves in #kidlit many times this month, we wanted to make sure to share, too! Happy reading! 📘
Coffee, Rabbit, Snowdrop, Lost by Betina Birkjaer & @MargretheKj is a breathtaking picture book about #dementia with *all* the feels. 🐇
Sinéad Quirke Køngerskov’s Danish-into-English translation is painful and beautiful; it will break your heart and put it back together again.
Our kids at school already love @candynjames’ Archie & Reddie series, but we are all especially crazy about the latest book: Look What We Can Do! They’re totally accessible for our youngest graphic novel readers, but they’re enjoyable for bigger kids, too! A perfect mix! #kidlit
