I wonder if Valve even considered something like these or they just tried one concept art and killed it off.

I was thinking about this cremator concept art and only the dumbest question is bothering me.

Why purple? Is the synth was supposed to stand out in the dark or something very specific?

It genially reminds me of an rts approch in Red Alert 2 with Yuri's Revenge units.
