Ibrahim Pasha was leading a reinvigorated Egyptian army, newly reformed and reorganised against the Emirate’s Wahhabi die-hards. Nothing short of totally subjugation would be tolerated by Istanbul & Cairo, after Saudi deprivations and insults to the Sultan.
