Decided to show off my Robotnik sprite for Studio!

The left is S1, middle is what I originally made, and right is what I ended up with. I never liked his proportions originally!

So Mania Knuckles is S1/2 knuckles. And fine so Sonic 3 wanted to take the characters and change them, make them more 3D or whatever fine.
But...

If Sonic and Knuckles' changes are purely art style based...

Then why didn't Tails change?

Since Sonic Mania reverted back to Sonic 1's proportions and style of sprites, the Knuckles in Mania is officially what he would have looked like in S1 and S2.

I might pick on Sonic 3 sprites a bit but Knuckles is beautiful. The elegance. The grace.

Irreplaceable.

Honestly though they gave this guy a lot of character so yeah, me like.

I've tried this when making Sonic sprites and I've always found that it makes his head seem flatter, so accurate to 3D model isn't always best (imo).
