Soaring in style has been out in the world for 2 weeks now. I had the freedom to unleash all my shoujo-fashion-loving-influences on this book and bring Amelia Earhart to life my own way. I'm so lucky for the opportunity.

I've always been a little isolated from the world. The barriers I created have been there for as long as I can remember.
But it feels good to see them tumbling down little by little, at long last.
Grateful for friends, grateful for family.
Last week was a very emotional week for me.
The passing of an art-school teacher I really admired really hit me in a way I was not expecting. Also being showered with a kind of love from friends I hadn't experienced before was overwhelming in wonderful ways I can't explain.
My favorite part about working on Soaring in Style was learning that Amelia Earhart was a fashion designer. I was sent an enormous gallery of reference images of Amelia in beautiful gowns and even designing her own! I loved it.

✨ ✨This week Soaring in Style was released to the world!!✨ ✨ I had so much fun working on this wonderful book. Here is a small process behind the cover, which was one of my favorite parts of the whole book. Published @CapstonePub and written by @jenwilsonkc
Saying the opposite of what I mean is my staple and having emotions is embarrassing. That aside, I'm glad to have friends that can realize the meaning behind the words and still keep me close even when I push them away. #comics
This monitor can switch between Adobe RGB and sRGB with a simple button, allowing me to work in two modes, side by side, showing me how things will print ahead of time (instead of switching to CMYK a few times.) All modes can also be further customized for much flexibility.
This is the second part of the commission for @Claribel_Ortega of her Witchlings. I really love how this one turned out and I'm so happy to be able to take part on this project!
I couldn't miss the opportunity to draw @Schnumn 's comic-sona for her birthday. Her comics inspired me to embrace my own mental health and even encouraged me to share my own experiences. I hope you had a wonderful birthday <3 Thank you for everything you do.
