Decided to indulge and quickly set down Jean-Paul's colours. Very plain, eyes are blue with a reddish tint because he's tired, but no intricate pattern other than that, just darker hair and funny cardigans. A boring plain old hare man who read Machiavelli as a child once.

Thumbnails from tonight, pushing through this dry spell by being messy as can be. Camille is a fun one to experiment with.

A more agreeable portrait of Gus, who is still a very uncomfortable person to be around. I like to think it was back when he had his wife and stable income.

Couldn't sleep, doodled, sneezed, waited.

Jean-Paul giving this huge uncanny smile and telling his wife 'It's all fine and dandy' when something deeply hurts him is sticking with me. I feel he doesn't value his emotions a lot and would gladly go to bed feeling awful rather than have it jeopardize a moment.

I have done some nice progress on Camille's backstory and childhood, making it not utterly tragic but a setup for how he'll behave later on. For one, how he came across the cinema and how he acts around loved ones. He's an interesting case, and I'm glad to understand him more.

Flawed as it is, this one drawing of Camille is my favourite for now just because it tells you everything about how much of a smug douche he is.
I love it, I need to draw something proper with him when I'm better.

Sleepless night once again, managed to do some digital doodles as I developped stories. Dear Jean-Paul, some old darling humanoids characters. Maybe they'll get finished, maybe not, it's just good to come back to drawing.

Heartwarming that some friends here are interested in Jean-Paul despite anthro not being their genre of choice! Thank you, it is comforting. I will try to have more confidence, so glad the little confusing bits I'm sharing make you still want to see a more coherent story posted!
