Robust stars
cascade
under
chilled moon,
lost vintage firelight
lingering
atop dark hues
& pale sighs,
kissing pumpkin leaves
between spiced gold,
swirling bright

in lovers' eyes.
I tasted afternoon
in scenic blaze,
moving.

Your hands
the holy grail
of our chimerical
beauty,
mistaken
for cold water
on the outside.

Argan oil to keep my hair from blooming in the rain, mouthwash to keep apologies from wake-up's bane, malachite whispers on eyelids framing views of you, agelast in this revolution as today's youth.

"Fair-weather delight you are in this colourful world. So blasé toward hearts of little boys and girls. Wishing to burn what you see as freak flags waving in the dark, but such holders of are what gave you your spark."

We chased webbed lights from windows during storms, your hands sandwiching mine from icy gusts seeping in. It made darker nights seem bright. The past appears ordinary until you tell yourself it isn't. We need to feel the rain before leaving everything behind.

The sunset crowned our heads, bright watercolours blooming and warring w/ one another. We drew rhymes on our palms until night came, wishes materialized, and I realized we were more than friends.
