Now that I've discovered that Rudolph Freund was behind my long sought-after dinosaur art, I'm kinda sad that there isn't more information about him and his art. His drawings appeared in several encyclopedias, yet I can't find a good compilation of his work anywhere.
I took me a decade to track down this photo, and when I did, it came right off the heels of my first novel.
I wonder if it was fate.
I fixed up this classic yet again. Still not perfect, though.
People are always like, “I cried so much when Bambi’s Mom/Mufasa died,” and yeah, death is sad, but have you ever been emotionally damaged beyond repair and had to keep on living?
Those were MY breaking points.
Me: "Hahaha, the animated Lord of the Rings has such weird designs. Nothing can top it."
The animated Hobbit:
It annoys me when people refer to retrosaurs and fictional dinosaurs as, “Not actually a dinosaur.”
Stylization, innacuracy, and in-universe lore don’t erase intent.
Like, you wouldn’t look at these pics and say, “That’s not allowed to be a cat.”
That would be foolish.
So there’s a, “Your OC vs what they’re named after,” post going around, and I don’t know if mine counts.
