Sodor’s Mainline has at least 3 water troughs. The reason why James couldn’t use them is that in “Deep Freeze”, the troughs were frozen over. Toby likewise, could not use them on his journey to Crovan’s Gate because he was never equipped with scoops in the first place.

She’s an engine driver, so I figure she needed to look a bit “rough and tumble”…I try to reference real people when I draw engines and human characters. Rhys suggested Keira Knightley and Karen Gillan…wanted to also lean closely into Rhys’ initial drawings of the character

(2/3) Charles Topham Hatt had, at varying points, tried to transfer or even outright buy Flying Scotsman and Yeovil at varying points. Scotsman ended up in Alan Pegler’s ownership thankfully, but Yeovil sadly fell through. Matters we’re not helped by BR’s “parting shots”…

…this 2 Cylinder Pacific (unheard of at this time on BR) against the SR West Country no. 34004 “Yeovil”. Also in attendance were Stanier Class 5 no 44799 “Young Siward” and a Thompson B1, no 61292. While Gordon was powerful, he was no match for Yeovil. But he did leave his mark

So across both G1 and RWS canons, there are three named scrap yards/companies. I’m also pretty sure Crovan’s Gate may have scrapped the last Coffee Pot, and Crock’s was implied to be capable of locomotive scrapping in the show (possibly the final resting place of the W&S locos?)

So then then the tunnel from “Percy and Harold” is facing south on the line towards Crosby on the Main Line,which carries over to the Spong Illustrations, but it curves and has a second porthole. The single porthole I presume was a reference to Awdry’s initial model
